A running race from Los Angeles to New York, 5200 km of length in 70 days.

Running across the United States of America, from the coast of the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic coast: an extreme challenge, which puts a strain on the body, mind and spirit.

Alex Bellini gets to the finish line after 746 hours, 28 minutes and 49 seconds, along with 8 other contenders of the 16 that began on that hot June 19th, 2011 from Hantington Beach, CA. For Alex, running across the United States was much more than an athletic gesture: making that legendary journey has allowed him to draw in himself a new inner journey.

THE LATEST ADVENTURE OF ALEX ACROSS AN OCEAN.

Alone in the middle of the ocean, in 2008 Alex Bellini’s challenge was the crossing of the Pacific ocean in a rowboat, his latest adventure at sea.

He sets off from Peru on February 21st: more than 18,000 km of endless of blue for a total of more than 3 million strokes.

When it seemed that Australia was at hands distance, after 294 days of solitude, Alex decides to stop his adventure only 60 miles off land, because of worsening weather, that would have endangered his life.

What for many is considered a failure, for Alex it’s the greatest achievement of his life. Not only his rowing attempt has been recorded as a success, but he has been able to learn very important lessons from the withdrawal.

THE ROWING ADVENTURE THAT MADE HISTORY.

Alex Bellini’s greatest achievement, the rowing across Atlantic rowing solo, is a story of perseverance and patience.

The first two attempts, in fact, fail due to adverse weather conditions and for hazardous incidents along the route. But Alex did not give up. He has a dream: he wants to be, at all costs, the first man in the world to combine the Mediterranean and the Atlantic ocean by oars.

It is the third attempt that his willpower is rewarded: after 226 days he reaches Fortaleza, Brazil and gets himself the record for the longest Atlantic row ever.

THE RACE ACROSS THE EXTREME NORTHERN ICE.

For two consecutive years, Alex Bellini runs the Alaska UltraSport, a lonely adventure along the route of Iditarod, the famous sled dogs race.

In Alaska Ultra Sport every participant can choose to participate on foot, by bike or on skis, and must carry all the equipment he/she may need along the way on a sled.

No prize awaits the winner: the thirst for adventure guides the footsteps of competitors.

Alex decides to participate on foot. In 2002 he built a sled that allows him to take shelter during the cold nights and succeeded in conquering the finish line. The following year his performance is better, with a more agile and lightweight sled, and he completes the race in 27 days.
